The third feature film from the directing duo Jorge-Guevara is a heartwarming, magical-realist tale about grief and enduring friendship. After the untimely death of her best friend Elena (Victoria Jorge), Adela (Chiara Hourcade) embarks on a journey through time and rediscovers joy. When Adela attends her dear friend's funeral, she feels barely connected to the other mourners. The muted voices, the soulless funeral home—nothing reminds her of her beloved friend. When we lose someone dear, it doesn't only happen outside of us, but even more so within us. Emotionally drained, Adela goes looking for her car, only to board a mysterious bus that takes her back in time to a weekend she once spent at a beach house with Elena. A light-hearted film about life's fragility that never becomes too heavy.
